About me

I hold a PhD in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ), where I conducted my research at the Protein Biochemistry Laboratory. My work focused on understanding the mechanisms, mode of action, and functions of rapid alkalinization factor (RALF) peptides in drought stress responses. During my doctoral studies, I also had the opportunity to work briefly as a visiting scholar at North Carolina State University (NCSU) in the Alonso-Stepanova Lab.

I earned a B.S. in Agronomy from the University of Passo Fundo (UPF) and a Master’s degree in Plant Physiology from the University of Lavras (UFLA). Education has always been one of my passions, and I believe it complements science perfectly. Despite the occasional nerves, teaching and delivering lectures are activities I truly enjoy and find deeply fulfilling.
